Eligibility of Tractors

                                                                                                                                                                                                 

 

  1. All tractors must pass an annual safety inspection that will be conducted by the safety committee at the first pull or the first event for that tractor.
  2. All approved tractors will be fitted with a Safety decal placed in a highly visible area at the rear of the tractor.
  3. NO 4-wheel drive tractors permitted.
  4. Drawbar design:

    5. No part on the tractor is allowed to come in contact with pull chain between hook and the pan.

    6. Tractors must have reverse gear with the exception of Class 4,5&6..

    7. Tractor must have working brake

    8. All tractors must be equipped with a "Dead Man" throttle with the idle at rear most position.

    9. Tractor must be equipped with wheelie bars. Wheelie bars must support weight of tractor.

10. Tractor Dimensions

Tractor width shall not exceed 54" and shall not exceed 8’ in length. Length shall be measured from center of rear axle to the front of the tractor or weights.

All tractors must be signed in 30 minutes before pull starts. STRICTLY ENFORCED!!!

14. Kill Switch

All tractors must have an operating kill device in the event the tractor breaks away from the sled or the sled operator sees an unsafe condition. The kill device must be designed and positioned as follows:

 

 

15. Fire extinguisher

Tractor must be equipped with a fully charged, functional fire extinguisher. Extinguisher must have a gage and within easy reach of the driver. (Minimum 1 ½ lb. Dry chemical or equivalent)
